March 7th Oscar Party - A Black Tie and Red Carpet Event
Mateo restaurant in Boulder, Colorado, is celebrating the 82nd Academy Awards in support of Oscar nominated producer Sarah Siegel Magness and Gary Magness for “Precious” and Louie Psihoyos and Fisher Stevens Feature Documentary for “The Cove.”
The Who’s Who of Boulder will walk the red carpet beginning at 4:30pm, March 7, 2010. Glitterati will include the OPS team from The Cove, the Siegel Magness family members, film enthusiasts, and other supporters.
Nationally recognized chef, and owner of Mateo Restaurant and Radda Trattoria, Matthew Jansen, along with executive chef, Kelly Kingsford will craft an Oscar inspired culinary extravaganza. Some of their savory treats will include cherry wood smoked Scottish salmon and Waygu beef tartar. Furthermore, Oscar viewing will be served Hollywood style on a big screen donated by Bill Jacobsen, NuLine ltd.
Mateo judges will present their own Academy Awards for best dressed, best improvised acceptance speech, and best picture.
Tickets are $75 a head and go on sale February 17, 2010 and 5% of the proceeds will go to Oceanic Preservation Society and Fresh Air Fund.

You are invited to celebrate the 8-year anniversary with Mateo Restaurant. The party style evening will consist of an open dinning room with only perimeter tables. Join Kelly Kingsford, the Executive Chef of Mateo at Jax Fish House January 13th for a five-course benefit dinner. Exceptional women chefs will accompany Kelly from the Denver/Boulder area to create a unique dinning experience. The five-course menu will include wine pairings from Elyse vineyards. The night will begin with a cocktail hour at 6 P.M. followed by dinner service.
